The official Scorebet site went down a few days ago and punters are looking for answers as to why the site is down. We at Best Sports Betting have done a little digging and can confirm that the site is still down and we’re not entirely sure why. If you are a Scorebet customer and have pending bets or a balance then we’re happy to share a few steps you should be taking.

It’s already established that when you visit the Scorebet site you get a 502 gateway error. For those that don’t know what the error is :
The 502 Bad Gateway error is an HTTP status code that means that one server on the internet received an invalid response from another server. 502 Bad Gateway errors are completely independent of your particular setup, meaning that you could see one in anybrowser, on anyoperating system, and on anydevice. The 502 Bad Gateway error displays inside the internet browser window, just like web pages do.
This points to a problem with either Scorebet or their Software provider, Bettech. Bettech provide Scorebet with their odds feeds and support so it could be a problem with either, we just aren’t sure.
What have Scorebet announced?
There’s been little from Scorebet on the issue, the only update we got was from contacting them directly and from a post on their Facebook page.
They mention their site being down and that they are working on it but don’t give a timeline which means the issue is likely pretty serious. There have been no further updates from Scorebet since the Facebook post on the 7th October 2019.
What can I do?

If you have pending bets or funds in your Scorebet account there is not much you can do for the moment. There’s clearly something going on and we understand that punters want to get their money out incase its a permanent closure. If you have funds in your Scorebet account we recommend taking the following steps :
- Decide if you want to withdraw your funds or wait for more information from Scorebet
- Contact Scorebet to request the funds be manually withdrawn by them or when they’ll be able to process a withdrawal
- Should Scorebet not be able or willing to assist you’ll need to let them know that you are unhappy and will take the matter further
- The last step would be to lodge a complaint against the bookmaker with the NBG (National Gaming Board) who will look into the matter for you, however this could take months and still have no resolution
What we recommend you do
Don’t panic, not yet! They’ve only been down for a few days, for those that remember Supabets was down with a similar issue for almost a week. Our advise is to sit tight until closer to the weekend. If there are still no announcements or changes then it’s time to start looking at a few of the options mentioned above.
